Below are guidelines on how to name student photos.
Last Name
The last name should all be in uppercase. However, if the student has more
than one last name then, capitalize the first last name and then, use the initials
for the other last names.
Example: The student's last name is 'Abdul Rasheed' — ABDULR
First Name
The first letter of the first name should be capitalized. If the student
has more than one first name then, use the initials for the other first
names.
Example: The student's first name is 'Teck Meng Marcus' — TeckMM
Year of Entry
Use the last two digits for the year of entry
Example: A student entered SMA in 2004 — 04
Programme
Use the first two letters of the programme's acronym
Example: The student was accepted to AMMNS — AM
UNIQUE NAME
Example: How should I name a student's photo, given the following information?
- Last Name: Abdul Rasheed
- First Name: Teck Meng Marcus
- Year of Entry: 2004
- Programme: AMMNS
The photo should be saved as ABDULR_TeckMM_04AM
IDENTICAL NAMES
Example: How should I name the photos if there is more than 1 student having the same name?
Student A
- Last Name: Lee
- First Name: Susan
- Year of Entry: 2004
- Programme: IMST
Student B
- Last Name: Lee
- First Name: Susan
- Year of Entry: 2004
- Programme: IMST
The photos should be saved as:
Student A's photo should be saved as LEE_Susan_04IM-1
Student B's photo should be saved as LEE_Susan_04IM-2
