Directory : Staff : Edit.
How do I EDIT an administrative staff's information?
Example: Edit Starri Bryte's information. Add a hyphen and another last name '-Fish'.
- Open an Internet Browser , then go to http://web.mit.edu/sma/
- Click on LOGIN-button
- Enter your MIT or Singapore password
- Click on login, when done
- In SMA Faculty/Staff Home page > under Admin Tools > click on SMA administrators
- Enter the username and password
- Click OK, when done
- In the SMA Admin Tools page > under Directory Maintenance Tools > click on data entry and updates
- In Directory Maintenance page > under Administrative Staff Directory > click on Administrative Staff
- In Administrative Staff : Main View page > click on Edit
- Add the new last name
- Click on Submit changes, when done
Note: If you click on Cancel changes, all of your entries will be erased and you will revert back to the Staff : Main View page. To edit your entries, please use the Back-button of your internet browser. - In Administrative Staff : Confirm Entry page > verify the staff's
information

- Click on Return to list
- In Administrative Staff : Main Page > click on Preview and publish directory
Note: The change that you have just entered for Starri Bryte will not be displayed in the SMA Staff Directory (seen on the web) until an administrator publishes the staff directory live. In the meantime, the staff's information is stored in a database. - Click on Request Publication, when done
- Click on Return to list
- Click on LOGOUT, when done
