Directory : Faculty : Edit.
How do I EDIT a faculty's information?
Example: Add an expertise section for Prof Suziyaki
- Expertise: networking, topology, configuration, strategy, effects of caffeine, paranoia
- Open an Internet Browser , then go to http://web.mit.edu/sma/
- Click on LOGIN-button
- Enter your MIT or Singapore password
- Click on login, when done
- In SMA Faculty/Staff Home page > under Admin Tools > click on SMA administrators
- Enter the username and password
- Click OK, when done
- In SMA Admin Tools page > under Directory Maintenance Tools > click on data entry and updates
- In Directory Maintenance page > under Academic Directory > click on Faculty
- In Faculty : Main View page > click on Edit
- Insert the expertise text
- Click on Submit changes, when done
Note: If you click on Cancel changes, all of your entries will be erased and you will revert back to the Faculty : Main View page. To edit your entries, please use the Back-button of your internet browser. - In Faculty : Confirm Entry page > verify the faculty's information

- Click on Return to list
- In Faculty : Main Page > click on Preview and publish directory
Note: The information that you have just entered for Sammy Suziyaki, will not be displayed in the SMA Faculty Directory (seen on the web) until an administrator publishes the faculty directory live. In the meantime, the faculty's information is stored in a database. - Click on Request Publication, when done
- Click on Return to list
- Click on LOGOUT, when done
