Directory : Events : Add.

How do I ADD an event?
Example: Add the following event information to the events directory:

  1. Open an Internet Browser , then go to http://web.mit.edu/sma/
  2. Click on LOGIN-button
  3. Enter your MIT or Singapore password
  4. Click on login, when done
  5. In SMA Faculty/Staff Home page > under Admin Tools > click on SMA administrators
  6. Under Directory maintenance tools > click on data entry and updates
  7. Enter username and password
  8. Click OK
  9. In Directory Maintenance page > under Events Directory > click on Events
  10. In Events : Main View page > click on Add entry
  11. Enter the event's information
  12. Click on Submit changes, when done

    Note: If you click on Cancel changes, all of your entries will be erased and you will revert back to the Events : Main View page. To edit your entries, please use the Back-button of your internet browser.

  13. In Events : Confirm Entry page > verify the event's information

    Note: If you click on Cancel changes, all of your entries will be erased and you will revert back to the Events : Main View page. To edit your entries, please use the Back-button of your internet browser.

  14. Click on Confirm change, when done
  15. Click on Return to list
  16. In Events : Main Page > click on Preview and publish directory

    Note: The information that you have just entered for Butch Bautista's outreach seminar, will not be displayed in the SMA Events Directory (seen on the web) until an administrator publishes the events directory live. In the meantime, the event's information is stored in a database.

  17. Click on Request Publication, when done
  18. Click on Return to list
  19. Click on LOGOUT, when done
