You came up with an innovative technology, a great idea or a concept that can change the world. You think you want to start your own company bringing your scientific or engineering breakthrough to market. Are you prepared for the most intense time of your life? A recount of the life in the works of a start-up will be presented, making emphasis on the business development of high-technology ventures.
Biography Andrey Zarur received his Master's and Ph.D. from MIT in 1995 and 1999, respectively. While at MIT he conducted research in alternative fuels, high temperature nanocatalysts and intelligent drug delivery systems. He was presented with various awards for excellence in research and teaching. Dr. Zarur has founded 4 start-up companies and participated in the initial stage of development of numerous others. Recently he founded BioProcessors Corporation, a microfluidics-based drug discovery company located in the San Francisco Bay Area, and contributed to the establishment of various life sciences and technology companies, including Starlab N.V., Infogenomix Inc., Leukemia Research Corporation, Applied Nanotechnologies Corporation and One World Knowledge
