INDUSTRIES
The focus of The Data Center is on three industries:
-- Consumer Goods
-- Automotive and Transportation
-- Health Care
Other areas of emphasis include content management and the construction industry.
In the future, updates will be posted in each of these focus areas. Currently there are several specific projects underway:
1. Development of new semantic based methods to manage bioinformatics data (Healthcare).
2. Research to prototype a new systems for making linkages and automatically assembling mechanical parts and devices from various catalogue sources.
3. Semantics of location for warehouses and buildings. Incorporating sensors into buildings to enable "smart" technology.
4. Constructing a library of models for ERP systems, to include forecasting, production scheduling and other models.
5. Marketing and retail analytics, including visualization of spatial diffusion.
