"Applications of Interoperable Modeling in the Food and Consumer Goods Industry"

MIT

Cambridge, MA

The Data Center will host a workshop to discuss prototype applications of a new computer language called "M" in the food and consumer goods industry. This event builds upon Smart World -- Semantic Modeling, a December 2004 conference that drew 300 attendees and was held jointly with the MIT Industrial Liaison Program.

The current program includes an overall discussion of the latest advances in semantic modeling.  Topics to be addressed include the benefits of a common dictionary, technology development efforts, current and future applications including business intelligence, and privacy and security considerations.
