Approximately 10 students per semester have been taken into the mainstream of faculty research activities. A limited number of students participate for pay. A larger number of students receive academic credit. Funds are made available for materials, supplies, and travel in support of student-initiated projects that are part of an ongoing research project.

The Department of Architecture may have research opportunities that are not listed here. Particularly, the design faculty are often engaged in research in support of their design practice. Given the nature of this work, opportunities may arise during the year which this document cannot anticipate. We encourage students to contact individual faculty with specific proposals, and to check with the departmental UROP coordinator to learn of any new opportunities.

Further Information: See "Awards & Funds" for informaton on funding that may pertain to your research. Follow all UROP procedures for pay or credit.

For a complete listing of Architecture faculty please see the Course 4 faculty listings on the Department of Architecture homepage: http://architecture.mit.edu/people.php?type=faculty
