Mission

The mission of the Office of Undergraduate Advising and Academic Programming (UAAP) is to provide quality, student-centered services to all undergraduates, and specifically to freshmen, that are designed to facilitate their academic success, social adjustment, and assimilation to the Institute. To achieve that vision, the UAAP offers programming, opportunity for exploration, and access to Institute resources and services that recognize the different needs, diversity, and uniqueness of students at the Institute.

UAAP leads the Holistic Student Experience initiative, one of the priorities identified in the DUE’s Strategic Plan. This theme is intended to articulate a holistic approach to the education of our students, set the standard for undergraduate advising and mentorship, develop programs for student leadership, define collaborative initiatives that facilitate faculty engagement, and support the integration of student life and learning.
