Microsoft Outlook Release Notebook: version 2003

Overview

This release focuses on the Outlook 2003 Email Client and the TechTime Outlook connector. The main foci of the release effort are to comprehensively document the Microsoft Outlook Email Client and the Techtime Outlook Connector. The Outlook 2003 Email Client includes support for IMAP over SSL, SMTP authentications, and advanced filter, display, organization, and search capabilities. The TechTime Outlook Connector allows users to view their TechTime calendars within the Outlook calendaring interface.

Please note that due to difficulties encountered during the testing phase, the release of Outlook 2003 and Techtime Outlook Connector has been staggered. Outlook 2003 will be released at the end of April 2004 as planned, but the Techtime Outlook Connector release will be delayed until the beginning of June 2004.

Outlook 2003 was released on April 28, 2004.

More info about the release from Microsoft.
