Welcome to the MIT Lindy Hop Society

Lindy Hop Logo

Lindy Hop is the original form of swing, which originated in the 1920's ( more info ). Lindy Hop is still
thriving, and vibrant dance scenes exist in nearly every major city in the US. Dancing takes place in the
Boston area from 3-5 nights per week ( local calendar ). Itsallswing.com is another good website for information on other swing dancing.

Currently we are offering a series of dances held at MIT . We dance to a wide variety
of music ranging from traditional swing to blues to hip-hop. Our dances are held once a week
on Wednesday nights in the student center on the second floor. (either in La Sala or Lobdell)
Dances go from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Please check the schedule for changes or cancellations.
