Research

With more than 60 faculty members working in more than 20 labs at MIT, Harvard, Boston University, and the Harvard teaching hospitals, SHBT covers virtually every aspect of speech and hearing, from basic research to clinical practice and everything in between. You will find peer-reviewed publications in all of these categories by browing the list of citations arranged by faculty, alumni, and current students.

The list of our affiliated labs, though extensive, does not exhaust all the research opportunities in speech and hearing in the Boston area.  Students can often arrange to conduct research in a non-affiliated laboratory, provided the research is co-supervised by an SHBT faculty member.
