Reports Reporting Fundamentals Selection Options for Profit Center Groups   Contents Overview Displaying Information on a Profit Center Group Setting the Display Text Option   Overview Profit center grouping is an SAP feature that offers flexibility in categorizing individual profit centers into groups. You can select an alternative profit center structure by selecting different profit center groups. This option is available on the Profit Center Volume and the Fund Analysis reports. For example, if you run the Profit Center Volume Report with the profit center group PO, the report will display complete information for all profit centers in a standardized order. Some profit center groups may display more restricted views of activity such as ones for individual departments, labs, and centers. top   Displaying Information on a Profit Center Group 1. Click on the Matchcode button (PC: ) in the Profit Center Group field on either the Profit Center Volume or the Fund Analysis report. (Click in the field if the Matchcode button is not displayed.) Result: A list of all profit center groups is displayed.   2. Click the eyeglass icon to the right of the profit center group; PO for example. Result: The "Display Profit center group: Structure" screen is displayed. 3. Click the folders to drill down to individual profit centers or to roll up to the profit center nodes. Note If there are no folders, then you cannot drill down further on the profit center group. Other Display Options All Profit Center Groups Click on the highest level profit center group (PO for example) and the green Expand All button . Only the Highest Level Profit Center Groups Click on the highest level profit center group (PO for example) and the red Collapse All button . Individual Profit Center Information Double-click on the individual profit center. 4. Click on the Back button until you return to the listing of profit center groups. 5. Click on a profit center group to select it for the report. top    Setting the Display Text Option (for initial setting) If you can't display the profit center names, you may need to set the Display Text Option. 1. Follow the menu path: Extras>>Default settings>>Structure. Result: The "Default Settings" window is displayed. 2. Under Master Data, click in the box next to Breakdown intervals and Display texts. 3. Under Structure, click in the box next to Display texts. 4. Click the Enter button . Result: You return to the "Display Profit center group: Structure" window. 5. Click the profit center subgroup name. 6. Click the Expand All button . Result: The names of the profit center groups and individual profit centers are displayed to the right.
