General Rules of Use

Because the classrooms in the Registrar's inventory are used primarily to support the academic mission of the Institute, the Schedules Office manages this space accordingly. As such, we ask all instructional staff to support these efforts by respecting the following rules:

  1. No food or drink is allowed in MIT classrooms
  2. If you rearrange the room during a class session, please return the furnishings to the original setup before leaving.

Problems with equipment in the classrooms should be reported to schedules@mit.edu.

Reserving Classrooms for ad hoc Events

In addition to supporting instructional needs, classrooms are also a resource for the MIT community-at-large. As such, classrooms may be reserved by members of the MIT community for academic and non-academic events. For more information, refer to reservation procedures and the rules governing the use of classrooms for ad hoc events.
