Letter from the Vice President Public Relations

Welcome Parents, to MIT! I’d first like to congratulate you on your daughter’s achievements thus far; we all know that admission into MIT is no easy task. MIT has a wonderful Parents Association, and our community really enjoys keeping parents involved and informed with their daughter’s experiences while at MIT. Joining a sorority is a wonderful opportunity to expand a young woman's future and experiences - from meeting accomplished upperclass women to learning how to organize large events or large groups of people, she is bound to learn valuable life skills. Our motto is "Be More Be Greek," emphasizing the values that all of the Panhellenic Sororites are founded upon and hope to strive for on this campus. Sororities present the opportunity to challenge women at MIT to excel at academics, extra-curriculars, and importantly, personal development. Many of our sororities have received national recognition at their community service, academic excellence, and general involvement in campus activities. Many greek women that you may encounter at MIT will tell you of their opportunities to grow and achieve through their sorority experiences at MIT. I encourage you to explore our website to learn more about the opportunities and experiences we can offer to your daughter while her time at MIT. If you have questions about anything sorority-related, please feel free to email us at sororities@mit.edu. Sincerely,
