STEP 1 - Orientation Registration Form (REQUIRED)

This form is mandatory for all incoming freshmen. The information below will allow the Institute to prepare for your arrival. If you are unsure about any information at this time, please wait until you have full details before submitting this form.

  • Your response must be received by 5pm EST on Saturday, August 1.

PART 2: ARRIVAL INFORMATION

Please fill out the appropriate sections below completely, based on your planned method of arrival.

PART 3: MATH DIAGNOSTIC REGISTRATION

The Math Diagnostic for Physics Placement is given as a paper/pencil test during Orientation. Every freshman MUST sit for the Math Diagnostic on either Saturday, August 29 at 3:30 PM or Monday, August 31 at 9AM. NOTE: You must take the Diagnostic on Saturday if you are planning to take Advanced Standing Exams.




PART 4: Swim Test Registration

All Freshman are required to take the Swim Test. NOTE: If you are planning to explore FSILG recruitment, please sign-up for the 9 AM block on Tuesday, September 8.




PART 5: PARENT ORIENTATION REGISTRATION



Please have your parents complete the Parent Information Form located online.

PART 6: CITY DAYS REGISTRATION

CityDays is a one-day campus-wide community service event that kicks off the school year as a traditional part of Orientation at MIT. Groups of MIT students - freshmen and upperclassmen - venture into the Cambridge and Boston community to complete service projects, including painting, cleaning, working with children, distributing food, and whatever else community agencies need. Through CityDays, you will see and experience more of your new community and help make a difference within it.
