Orientation 2009: Begin Your Journey
Here!
Check out the Orientation Blog! Learn more about our programs, what to expect when you arrive, post questions, and meet your Orientation Coordinators.
During Orientation 2009 you will
have many opportunities to mingle
with your new classmates as well
as MIT faculty and staff. You'll
have the chance to explore: academic
options, campus/student
life programs, MIT
residences,
the campus and it's resources, and
the Boston/Cambridge area.
Orientation 2009 includes: pre-orientation
programs (FPOPs) offered right
before the official beginning
of orientation 2009 (see the FPOP
section for details on these
exciting opportunities), the
President's convocation, faculty
lectures, an academic expo where
you'll get to meet faculty and
administrators from academic
departments and programs. You'll
also be participating in various
special orientation programs
and events designed to introduce
you to life at MIT.
A full schedule of Orientation 2009 events
and activities, known here at MIT as the
Hitchhiker's Guide to Orientation,
will be provided to you once you arrive
on campus this August.
Please review this section carefully, by
following the links to the left, for important
