
MIT Parents Association Information
It is our pleasure to introduce you to the MIT Parents Association. The Association exists to help parents connect to MIT and to one another. It consists of all MIT parents, past and present, and a dedicated staff commited to keeping you informed of the many opportunities and resources available to you through the MIT community.
Now that you, too, are a part of the MIT Parents Association, expect to receive regular correspondence from the Association throughout the next four years. Listed below are the three core communications that will be sent:
- Parents News: Mailed each spring, this publication covers a range of material, from the latest campus and regional events involving parents,
to relevant Institute Institute newsa and artticles to help you adjust to life as a parent of a college student.
- e-Newsletter: This quarterly update is sent via email and delivers the information you need to know exactly when you need it.
- Parents Website: The ultimate resource for MIT parents, available at: http://alum.mit.edu/parents/.

- Attend Family Weekend
- Volunteer as a Parent Connector and/or a member of the Parents Fund committee

- Build your own MIT experience to share with your student

Mark your calendar for Family Weekend, October 16-18, 2009! Family Weekend
offers MIT Parents the chance to see MIT in action. Visit open classes, meet
faculty, attend cutting-edge lectures, tour labs, and experience your
