Operations Research (O.R.) is the discipline of applying advanced analytical methods to help make better decisions. Operations Research is characterized by its broad applicability and by a wide variety of career opportunities and work styles it embraces. It is also characterized by its interdisciplinary nature. The MIT OR Center draws faculty from 8 different departments at MIT, including members from each school.
