Hugh Guilderson “Coach Hugh” – Head Coach, Instructor
Hugh Guilderson is a native of Boston and has been teaching math and science in the Boston Public Schools for 14 years. He's played both semi-pro baseball and football, but baseball is his passion. While continuing to play in masters division baseball until just last year, he has been an all-star in three different leagues. He currently resides in Boston with his wife and daughter.
Andy Andres “Coach Andy” – Coach, Instructor
Andy teaches biology, physics, and natural science at Boston University as an Assistant Professor of Natural Science. He also teaches one of the first ever college courses in Sabermetrics (the objective analysis of baseball) offered at Tufts University. Also a former Tutor in Biology at Harvard College, he taught a seminar in exercise physiology and ergogenic aids for athletic performance. As a Data Analyst for Ron Shandler’s BaseballHQ.com, he analyzes baseball statistics for the site. A diehard Red Sox Fan, Andy lives in Cambridge, MA with his wife, Kate, and their three children, Maddie, Aubree, and Griffin. He also plays 3B/1B in various Tufts Softball Leagues, and has been schooled at Brown, Harvard, and Tufts Universities. Andy is currently working on a book on the physiology and biochemistry of baseball.
