Local Tibetan woman test for bacteria contamination at a water source located in the middle of a frozen pond. Global Citizen Water Initiative, a 2009 IDEAS Competition team, enables communities to test the quality of their water resources using simple and easily accessible test kits. Results are collected in an open source geo-tagged database. The education suite and database help communities connect with resources to implement treatment solutions. Read more >
