Some Tournament Site Rules
1. If your team is a no-show (w/o informing us) and or does not bring
your check if we made such an arrangement, you will never play in Rick
Pierce or Beanpot again.
2. All Playable Areas will be specfied in advance by the head
referees as per the official rules. They will clarify the distinction
between the walls and ceiling in the upstairs Dupont gym.
3. The gymnastics area is off limits.
4. No unsupervised children will be allowed at the tournament. If the
tournament staff sees this, we will ask you to make other arrangemnts for
them. This is for their safety and security.
5. a) Food may only be eaten in the lobby or on the bleachers. Please clean
up after yourself. b) We are very lucky to get this facility. It would
be a real shame to lose one of the few facilities that can host an
event like this.
6. No foul language. Any unacceptable language or behavior can result
in sanctions by the tournament director. See 5b). MIT is becoming
very concerned about who uses its facilities. Besides you will be much
more impressive to the spectators if you just stick to good
sportsmanship.
7. All teams must learn and carry out their work assignments. Missed
assignments may result in being disqualified from future events or
affect standings in the current event.
8. Tournament director's decisions are final.
9. Other rules and rule changes will be announced at the event.
