Current stuff:

Next meeting - None scheduled (summer). Meeting place: Student Center Lounge

There may also be a meeting some other evening, time and place TBA.

Postmortem - As always, anyone who can should come to this monthly meeting of Boston-area game developers. It's the summer, you've got time!

Old stuff:

Trip to Stainless Steel Studios, a Cambridge-based game company putting out a great looking game called Empire Earth. We had a great talk with three members of their company; the founder, a programmer, and an artist. They had a lot of interesting things to say about the game industry: how to get into it, what a nice community it was, etc, as well as day to day tips on how to work on a software team, and a discussion of what college courses were actually useful in the industry. Much fun was had all around.

CMS' Computer and Video Games Come of Age This was a fun conference that many of us were able to attend and get something out of. The 'reading' page contains links to some very good interviews with some of the speakers and panelists.

Re:Play Conference - Not sure anyone was able to make the trek.

A NEW ALLY! - I talked to Professor Henry Jenkins, and it seems that he's been trying to get more computer game related events at MIT. He was excited to hear about the club and has offered to keep us informed of game related events that will be at MIT! (He told me about the Re:Play conference, and as head of CMS, ran the Come of Age conference)
