Who, what, when.
If you are a sophomore, junior, senior, graduate student, or recent alum, you are eligible to participate in MIT-Spain programs. We will coordinate your interests with our partners in universities, research institutions, corporations, and organizations in Madrid, Barcelona, and throughout Spain. We encourage stays of three months or longer so that you develop a deep sense of what it means to live a Spanish life. The longer your stay, the greater opportunity you have to establish a lifelong network of rewarding relationships.
Know your neighbors.
To make the most of your experience, you must be fluent in the language. With four semesters of Spanish and training sessions to introduce you to Spanish culture, you will have the confidence you need not only to communicate, but to be productive in the Spanish professional and cultural environment.
