Once you are accepted, the Japanese host institution will facilitate visas and, in most cases, arrange for housing. The MIT-Japan Program will help with other details such as flight information and emergency overseas health insurance. All opportunities offered by our program are all-expenses-paid. Housing, airfare, and basic living expenses are all covered.
If your host institution does not arrange for your housing, we will help you to find suitable accommodation. In most Japanese metropolitan areas, a number of companies offer fully furnished guest rooms and apartments. Please refer to the links below for more information.
