MISTI Hayashi Seed Fund
The MISTI Hayashi Seed Fund is a part of the MISTI Global Seed Funds.
The MISTI Hayashi Seed Fund supports meetings, travel and symposia between MIT and Japanese researchers. Seed funds provide the resources to launch projects with faculty counterparts in Japan in the area of ocean engineering, nanotechnology, and environmental sustainability.
The maximum award is $20,000. Additional funds of up to $10,000 from the MISTI Global Seed Funds may be available for involving qualified MIT undergraduate and graduate students in the project.
The deadline for the 2008-2009 grant round is October 20, 2008. Winners will be announced in early December 2008.
