A Cancer Center Designated by the National Cancer Insitute

Four National Cancer Institute Research Programs

As a partnership between MIT's Schools of Science and Engineering, The David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research was launched in 2007 by combining the faculty of the (now former) MIT Center for Cancer Research (CCR) with an equivalent number of distinguished engineers drawn from various MIT departments.

By working closely with National Cancer Institute (NCI) and other NCI-designated centers of excellence over three decades, MIT's has been at the center of the nation's efforts to conquer cancer. Its faculty has included five Nobel Prize winners, and the wealth of fundamental discoveries that have emerged under its aegis have helped shape the face of today's rapid progress. Applying our great strengths in science and technology, and working closely with our clinical collaborators, we remain committed to unraveling the complexities of this disease and bringing new discoveries to patients.
