Publications of the MIT Global Change Joint Program

   | Reports | Reprints | Abstracts | Technical Notes | Student Theses | Other Outlets | Brochure |

An important function of the Program is to improve education about climate issues and contribute to informed public debate about the problem, its uncertainties, and the implications of various policy measures. Members of the Program's research team are active in publishing the results of the work as it becomes available, in professional journals and the popular press.

The Program's Report Series is intended to communicate research results, and provide useful reviews and commentaries on various aspects of the climate issue. The Reprint Series helps provide wider access to published Program results that have appeared in professional and popular journals. Technical Notes provide documentation of research procedures and technical details.

Examples of other publication outlets include Student Theses resulting from graduate student involvement in Program research, Congressional Testimony by Program participants, occasional Climate Policy Notes and Forum Papers, and assorted other reports, popular press articles, and books. Also available is an overview brochure (PDF: 990 kB) that summarizes the Program's goals, structure and activities.

Titles of MIT Global Change Joint Program publications are listed below, with a brief summary of each available on the abstracts page. Most documents are provided in PDF format with an approximate download file size shown [in kilobytes (kB) or megabytes (MB); get Acrobat Reader). An underlined title indicates an article that is also available in html format. Paper copies of Program documents can be obtained by request*.

*To request a paper copy of any Program document contact the Program office (globalchange@mit.edu). Please specify the document title (or Report or Reprint number), along with your complete mailing address.
