The Office of Undergraduate Advising and Academic Programming (UAAP) has created this site to provide academic information to first-year students and their advisors. The UAAP serves as your first-year office and supports a variety of programs that help enrich academic life at MIT, including: Orientation, Freshman Advising, Learning Strategies programming, UROP, and the Transition to Sophomore Year.

As the semester begins, the Institute must prepare for the possibility of students contracting the H1N1 flu, so the Dean for Undergraduate Education, Dean for Graduate Education, and Chair of the MIT Faculty are encouraging all instructors to ask students to refrain from attending class if they are sick, especially with flu-like symptoms.

If any individual suspects they have the flu, they should review the specific instructions on the MIT Medical influenza website. The current list of H1N1 FAQs will be updated with more specific guidelines and policies, ASAP.

To learn more about how Division of Student Life staff can help you prepare for the flu and support you if you become ill, visit the DSL website.
