Working Group Recycling
Established last year, the MIT Working Group Recycling Task Group (WGR) promotes recycling campus-wide.

A Task Group of the Working Group on Support Staff Issues (WGSSI), WGR acts as a liaison between WGSSI members, the Environmental Programs Task Force (EPTF), and Share A Vital Earth (SAVE).

In the words of Laura Moses, one of its founders, WGR's "major accomplishment last year was the coordination and distribution of more than 200 recycling bins to offices, labs, conference rooms, and kitchens on campus."

WGR also worked closely with MIT Real Estate to initiate and expand recycling efforts in leased buildings. It supported the efforts of SAVE to encourage recycling in dormitories and other residences. This year WGR and SAVE will cooperate in trying to increase recycling rates at MIT Campus Dining facilities.
