IMVP researchers and sponsors generally meet in the fall at locations rotating between the U.S., Asia, and Europe. Researchers meetings, devoted to internal reviews of projects-in-progress, are scheduled in the spring. Program leaders and researchers also meet with sponsors informally through the year and IMVP periodically hosts special events, like the 2003 Japan study tour and conference.
