The Cross Products are the most "normal" co-ed Christian a cappella
group at MIT! We exist to glorify God through music and our lives, and
to tell others about the ways that He has changed us. We are each
products of the cross of Jesus Christ!
One part of our vision is to reflect God's heart for all people. Last
Spring Break we sang and volunteered at schools, churches, nursing
homes, and homeless shelters in the Dallas area. Around MIT, you
might find us singing with groups from other colleges, caroling in
Lobby 7, or rocking out at our big semester concert.
The Cross Products began singing at MIT in the fall of 1988. The
group was formed to communicate the good news of Jesus Christ to
people through music, skits, and
spoken word, and to complement the other a cappella groups in
existence at MIT as a Christian alternative.
We call ourselves the "cross products" because as Christians we
consider ourselves products of the cross of Jesus Christ. The term
"cross product" also has another meaning - if you don't know what
it is we'll let you look it up yourself. =)
