The Department of Biology at MIT is pleased to host Merck Day on Tuesday, December 9, 2008. The day's featured speaker is Dr. Edwin Clark, Executive Director, Site Basic Research Franchise Lead, Merck Research Laboratories. His talk, titled "Identification, Characterization, and Development of Allosteric Inhibitors of Akt" will be presented at 11:00 in the Broad Institute Auditorium, Room NE30-1154.

Biology and Merck Research Laboratories are very happy with this opportunity to work together on a pilot program to explore our mutual interests and goals while encouraging the flow of knowledge and resources between the biological life sciences at MIT and Merck Research Laboratories.
