Zubair's research is focused on developing a numerical framework for efficient computational modeling and simulation of viscoelastic flow systems that span the molecular, mesoscopic and continuum scales.  He is specifically interested in physical problems where closed macroscopic equations are unavailable and uses them as a test bed to develop numerical schemes that may enable models at a 'fine' (microscopic/stochastic) level of description to perform modeling tasks at a 'coarse' (macroscopic/systems) level. He is currently a Doctoral Candidate in the Armstrong Research Group at MIT.
