Parking

There is no available MIT parking for visitors and on-street parking is very difficult. There are meters on Memorial Drive and the small streets surrounding AgeLab, but they are usually all taken by 8:00am.

Paid Parking

The nearest paid parking garage is at Kinney Systems at 4 Cambridge Center (entrances on both Ames Street and Broadway). This is the garage behind Legal Seafoods in Kendall Square. It’s a 5-minute walk back to AgeLab: follow Main down to Hayward and take a right at Au Bon Pain. The Muckley Building is the brick three-story building at the end of the block on your left (at the corner of Hayward and Amherst). Allow 5 minutes for the walk.

MIT Parking

In some rare instances, we are able to procure MIT Visitor Parking Passes for the MIT Sloan Lot. Please note that this lot fills up quite early and if it is full when you arrive, the parking attendant will direct you to a lot further away. In that instance, it might actually be faster to park (and pay) at the Kinney Garage, above.

The Sloan Lot is on Main Street, right off of Wadsworth: take a right at the end of Wadsworth onto Main Street. The Sloan Lot is the parking lot on your right.

If we’ve sent you a green pass in the mail beforehand, give the pass to the parking attendant who will tear it in two and put one half on your windshield. If we have not sent you the pass, the parking attendant will have your name on his list as a permitted parking visitor—simply give him your name. After you park, exit the lot by walking towards the Sloan Building (ask the parking attendant which building is Sloan). Cross Wadsworth onto Amherst. It’s a one-minute walk.
