La Tecnologia al servicio de los Mayores (Technology for Seniors)

The AgeLab’s Bryan Preston delivered the keynote address at “La tecnologia al servicio de los Mayores” (“Technology for Seniors”), Argentina’s first meeting examining how technology can be used to increase the quality of life for Argentina’s older adults. The two-day conference was hosted by Argentina’s National Institute for Industrial Technology and held in Buenos Aires (http://www.inti.gov.ar/terceraedad/). Attendees came from all over Argentina and Paraguay and included policy makers, business leaders, entrepreneurs and inventors, designers, members of the medical and rehabilitation community and career social service workers. The Conference kicked off what it intended to be an ongoing national initiative to identify a national strategy for the development and manufacturing of assistive technologies for seniors – both in Argentina and throughout the world
