During
MIT's 2006 Independant Activities
Period, the MIT-Germany Program
brought MIT experts and students
together with their counterparts
at DaimlerChrysler and Siemens.
MIT AgeLab faculty presented educational
workshops on the aging population
and then directed a group exercise
on developing an automotive telematics
system targeting the older population
while exhibiting universal appeal.
In total, 15 students from various
disciplines at MIT as well as 15
young researchers from DaimlerChrysler
and Siemens attended.
