Future Drive 2020: Technology, Design & Mobility for Tomorrow’s Drivers

October 30, 2007
Dearborn, Michigan

The future of the automobile and how you will move tomorrow is being created today. With auto makers already working on car model plans for 2012 and beyond, find out what new designs, technologies and fun is in store for tomorrow’s drivers. Learn how future innovations in the car will keep older boomers mobile, safe and connected to their communities and how the industry is better targeting and marketing a new generation of older consumers.

AARP’s Group Executive Officer of Social Impact, Nancy LeaMond, will co-host a glimpse of the driving future with Joseph F. Coughlin, Director of the USDOT’s New England University Transportation Center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and founder of the MIT AgeLab. The event will include discussions with leading boomer and mobility experts as well as industry displays of innovative designs and technologies. Come and take a drive into the future with AARP, MIT and other technologists and thought leaders from Ford Motor Company, General Motors and the US Department of Transportation’s Research Innovative & Technology Administration.
