The MIT Faculty Club
Many AgeLab meetings and events are held at the MIT Faculty Club, which is the on-campus conference center and private dining facility. It is located in the eastern section of the MIT Campus near Kendall Square in Cambridge at:

It is on the top floor of the Sloan Building. You may enter the building at the front or back entrance. Take the elevator to the sixth floor and watch for the poster board set up in the lobby to find your meeting or event. Local attendees should take the T or a taxi to the meeting. Attendees staying at the Marriott or Kendall Hotels in Cambridge should walk to the Faculty Club, as it is only a 5-minute walk.
Parking at the Faculty Club
There is no available MIT parking for Faculty Club visitors and on-street parking is very difficult. There are meters on Memorial Drive and the small streets surrounding the Faculty Club, but they are usually all taken by 8:00am.
If you plan to drive, we suggest you park in the closest parking garage: Kinney Systems at 4 Cambridge Center (entrances on both Ames Street and Broadway). This is the garage behind Legal Seafoods in Kendall Square. It’s a 5-minute walk back to the Faculty Club: follow Main Street in front of Legal Seafoods down to Wadsworth and take a right. The Sloan Building is at the end of the block on your left (the Charles River is across the street).
Walking from the Marriott or The Kendall Hotel
Exit the hotels on Main Street (turn left from the Marriott or right from the Kendall) so you are walking toward the Charles River. Follow Main down to Wadsworth (one block beyond Au Bon Pain). The Sloan Building is at the end of the block on your left (the Charles River is across the street). Allow 5 minutes for the walk.
Walking from the T stop in Kendall Square
The Red Line T stop for MIT is the MIT/Kendall stop, which exits you onto Main Street in front of the Coop. Take a right, following Main down to Wadsworth (one block beyond Au Bon Pain). The Sloan Building is at the end of the block on your left (the Charles River is across the street). Allow 5 minutes for the walk.
Taking a taxi from Logan Airport to The Faculty Club
Cambridge is only a 15 minute drive from the airport but you should allow 40 minutes during rush hour. Tell the taxi driver to take you to the MIT campus in Cambridge, and give the address 50 Memorial Drive.

Driving Directions Driving from the West (I-90) (Mass Turnpike)
Follow I-90 east to the Cambridge/Brighton exit (exit 18). Following the signs to Cambridge, cross the River Street Bridge, and take a sharp right onto Memorial Drive heading east. Follow Memorial Drive for 2 miles - you’ll pass the Hyatt Hotel, the MIT dorms, go under an underpass and then the campus with its domed buildings. After the underpass, get in the left lane and take a left at the first stoplight onto Wadsworth Street (sign says Kendall Square). The Sloan Building is at this corner on your right.
Driving from the North (I-95 or I-93)
If you are heading south on I-93, follow I-93 into Boston then follow the I-93 instructions below. If you are heading south on I-95, take the I-93 South exit then follow the instructions from I-93. Alternatively, take the I-90 East exit from I-95 then follow the instructions from I-90.
Driving from the South (I-95 or I-93)
If you are heading north on I-93, follow I-93 (the Southeast Expressway) into Boston then follow the I-93 instructions below. If you are heading north on I-95, take the I-93 North exit then follow the instructions from I-93. Alternatively, take the I-90 East exit from I-95 then follow the instructions from I-90.
Local: Driving from the Central Artery in Boston
From I-93 North, take the exit marked “Storrow Drive West.” Storrow Drive follows the Boston side of the Charles River and MIT is on the Cambridge side of the Charles. Stay in the left lane take the Longfellow Bridge exit ramp on your left. Take a right and drive across the bridge into Cambridge— watch carefully to take the sharp right at the bottom of the bridge that will curve you around and onto Memorial Drive West. Follow Memorial Drive for one block and take a right onto Wadsworth Street. The Sloan Building is at this corner on your right.
Local: Driving over the Harvard Bridge from Boston
Cross the bridge from Massachusetts Avenue, Boston into Cambridge. Take a sharp right at the end of the bridge onto Memorial Drive-East. The Charles River will be on your right. After the underpass, get in the left lane and take a left at the first stoplight onto Wadsworth Street (sign says Kendall Square). The Sloan Building is at this corner on your right.
