Aero-Astro Rewards
and Recognition Program
Purpose
To encourage members of the department to publicly recognize outstanding work and service to the department, and to express gratitude for help and support.
Awards
- The High Five Award is a quick, easy thank you
by one person or group to another person or group for help, service,
or support beyond normal duties, awardable year round. Read
more about it and nominate someone.
- The Wings Award: To recognize
an individual support
staff member in Aero-Astro for excellence. Read
more about it and nominate someone.
- The Spirit of XVI Award is an annual award to
one individual or team of staff members in Aeronautics and Astronautics,
whose work, commitment and enthusiasm contribute significantly
to the achievement of the mission of the Department. Read
more about it and nominate someone.
- The Vicki Kerrebrock Award: To recognize students,
staff, faculty or others, either individually or as members of
a group, who have made significant contributions to building a
sense of community in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics
at MIT. Go ahead and nominate
someone!
Anyone in the Aero-Astro Department can initiate a nomination. For
Spring 2008, please enter your nominations by Friday, May 9, at 5
pm. High Five Awards can (and should) be made at any time!
Awards Committees:
For each award, a selection committee will be formed of the Department
Head or Associate Department Head (chair), past year award winner(s),
and one student representative to be appointed by the chair.
