Project 34 | International Collaborative Emissions Studies

Project 34 will to work collaboratively with international partners to characterize the PM emissions from aviation sources through measurements to provide real-world emissions data inputs to health impact studies and air quality/climate models. The first of these studies will be co-sponsored by the the EU network of excellence on Environmentally Compatible Air Transport System (ECATS) and will be conducted at the University of Sheffield, Low Carbon Combustion Center. This project will also include studies to address PM sampling methodology issues under quasi-laboratory conditions.

Anticipated outcome

Database of PM and HAPS emissions from modern and future aviation sources
