Niles Beach

Description

Niles Beach is a flat sandy entry with rocks on either side. Gradual sloping sandy bottom. Depth 15 to 20 feet. Very protected area: if the condititions at other dive sites are undiveable, Niles is often very calm. Resident parking only, no phones, bathrooms, or trash barrels. Good site for early spring or late Autumn when parking is available.

Directions from Boston

  • Take Route 1 or Route 93 To Route 128 North.
  • Follow 128 until you pass through both the Grant and Blackburn traffic circles.
  • Shortly after passing the Blackburn circle, you'll come to a set of lights. Continue on Route 128.
  • Take a left from the parking lot on to 127 S. Left at lights. At the next set of lights go through the intersection on to East Main St. Stay on East Main for approximately 1/2 mile. Niles Beach is the only large beach on East Main St.
